• Question: when do you go to university

      In the UK, people usually go to university when they are about 18, after finishing college. However some people choose to take a year (or even several) out before they study.

      Instead of taking a year out before starting university, I took one between my undergraduate degree and my PhD. I did 4 years at university, took a year out working in a science centre and now am working on my PhD!
