      Good question! There are lots of storms on Jupiter. One reason for this is that Jupiter is mainly made out of gas – it’s a Gas Giant. These gases are constantly swirling around, rising and falling, and as they speed up, the cycling swirls of gas sometimes merge into one another. This creates the giant storms that we see!

      One of these is called the ‘Great Red Spot’. This storm is massive (2-3 times bigger than Earth!) and has been going on for hundreds of years!
