I’ve been interested in astronomy since I was young. This is mainly because of my Dad. He used to watch lots of programmes about space as I was growing up and would take me out to look at the stars when we were on holiday, pointing out different constellations and planets. He also listened to a lot of David Bowie – a singer who wrote songs about space and astronauts. Anything to do with space was always my favourite part of science lessons in school, so I ended up studying it at university!

Now I have branched out a bit from astronomy and am studying ‘astrobiology’, the search for life in the universe, but am still really interested in the subject!
