  The reason MRI is slow is because it collects a lot of unnecessary data( which we call noise in scientific terms) along with the useful information. The problem is that both these data are very close to each other and we cannot differentiate them. But if we find a way that makes these two data different then it is easy to collect only the useful data. So I am trying to collect only useful information which is needed to have good picture. Since MRI is very slow, patients have to lie without moving in the machine for a very long time. It becomes very difficult if they have some breathing problem or if they are very young. so, a faster MRI will help the patients to be comfortable in the machine as they will not have to spend more time. Also, since we are collecting only the useful information the quality of the images will be good and will help the doctors to detect the diseases.
